QUALIFICATIONS:GARNA seeks talented applicants with a background in natural or physical sciences, history, communication, education, natural science interpretation, recreation and resources management or a related field. In addition to public speaking, the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences, strong-time management and the ability to work independently are essential skills. Applicant also must demonstrate a dedication to environmental stewardship. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Research, develop, present and document interpretive programs to the public in a variety of formats. The interpretive intern will be the lead counselor for a nature youth day camp, lead weekly guided nature walks, and present and promote programs on the natural, historical and cultural resources in the Salida and Buena Vista areas of Colorado.</p>

<p>Qualifications</p>
<p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelors degree in instructional design, OD, HR,<br />
Industrial/Organizational Psychology or Education strongly preferred, OR combination of some college and equivalent work accomplishments.<br />
· Minimum 2 &#8211; 3 years experience in a Learning and Development, Knowledge Management and/or Organizational Development Specialist role<br />
· Knowledge of adult learning principles, as well as instructional design theories and practices.<br />
· Demonstrated ability to create intellectually challenging and personally engaging learning experiences that integrate instructor-led, experiential<br />
and technology based learning.<br />
· Excellent knowledge and use of English language and correct grammar.<br />
· Demonstrated ability to establish rapport and relate to various business partners and customers and work effectively with all levels of staff.<br />
· Exceptional PC skills including Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, intermediate level Excel, with ability to handle graphic and charts in these applications.<br />
· Must be willing and able to travel to all WVR West Region operations for facilitation of training programs.</p>
<p>Licenses / Certifications: Certification in personality profiling assessments, strengths inventories or similar</p>
<p>SKILLS: communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; strong organizational skills and detail oriented with the ability to perform various tasks at<br />
one time; ability to prioritize and work independently; solid computer skills, with specific experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher;<br />
analytical skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and attention to detail a must. The individual must possess initiative and possess ability to<br />
maintain confidentiality.</p>
<p>Physical Requirements: ability to speak and hear. Close and distance vision. Frequent sitting and standing with some walking. Frequently<br />
lifts/carries up to 5 lbs. Continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.<br />

<p>Skills:<br />
• Currently pursuing AS degree or completed AS degree in an engineering, computer programming, information technology or other technical field, or equivalent work experience. Technical Certificates also considered.<br />
• Strong team and communication skills required<br />
• Proficiency with MS Office applications<br />
• A basic understanding of gas turbine engines, ability to read mechanical drawings, and general mechanical aptitude is preferred.<br />
